Tasty and healthy vegetables and fruits
A noticeable negative factor in life in the remote northern region is the lack of fresh and healthy vegetables and fruits. Those of them that are delivered to such places often travel for many days in thousands of kilometers. This forces producers to pick unripe vegetables and fruits, lacking in minerals, vitamins and other nutrients. Moreover, for safety in a long journey, the fruits are often subjected to various types of chemical treatment, which at least does not make them more useful.
We are looking for new technologies that will provide residents of remote northern regions with fresh vegetables and fruits. The technologies of using vertical automated farms, modern conservation and shock freezing technologies to preserve all vitamins and taste properties of products are possible solutions for the year-round cultivation and storage of fresh vegetables and fruits.
