Yakutsk half-marathon
For the third year, the Yakutsk Half Marathon has been held in the capital of the republic. This year, a large-scale sports event started at midnight - participants ran through the night streets of the city.

572 people applied to participate in the half marathon, but 485 people of Yakutsk came to the start. The youngest participants of the race were seven-year-old children, and the oldest runner is 73 years old.

89 people ran a five-kilometer distance, 106 athletes covered a distance of 10 km, and 212 runners covered 21.1 km. Both professionals and amateurs took part in the half marathon. Many participated in such a race for the first time.

The runners started at the Tuimaada stadium, and then ran through the night streets of the city.
At 16:00, the children's race began: 78 young athletes deservedly overcame the distance of one kilometer and received their medals.

And at midnight the adult runners started.

The participants of the ten-kilometer race made one lap along the planned route, and the half–marathoners made two. The runners were warmly supported by the fans, who cheered them on all the way.

At the end of the race, each athlete was awarded a commemorative medal and a T-shirt.

A great success for all participants was the wonderful weather, everyone got their share of positivity and enjoyed the beauty of the white nights. Congratulations once again to the winners, prize-winners and participants of the competition!
