Sinet Sakhawood announces the start of a competition for grants aimed at the development of Yakut film industry

Today, on the Day of Russian Cinema, Sinet Spark announces the annual Sinet Sakhawood competition for grants aimed at promoting Yakut films.

Sinet Sakhawood is a grant and investment program that has been operating since 2019 and is aimed at supporting Yakut film producers and animators.

The total amount of grants this year will be 10 million rubles. Up to 10 grants in the amount of 200 thousand to 1.5 million rubles will be allocated. The competition regulations can be downloaded here.

To apply for support, a motion picture or animation must meet the generally accepted standards of film distribution, online cinemas and TV channels. And also you have to meet one of the following requirements:
  • motivate viewers to develop, personal growth, and improve the world;
  • have export (relative to Yakutia) potential.

The competition work can be at the stage from a synopsis / script to a ready-made project with a premiere no earlier than 01.01.2022.

With the support of Sinet Sakhawood, several films have already been released. Among them are "Private Chaerin" (Nyurgun Ivanov), "Scarecrow" (Dmitry Davydov), "Beyberikeen 2" (Konstantin Timofeev). The film "Scarecrow" by Dmitry Davydov in 2020 won the Grand Prix of the main film festival of Russia "Kinotavr".
